Welcome!

Welcome to the 46th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems (CISS), sponsored by the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, with Technical Co-Sponsorship of the IEEE Information Theory Society.

Taking place at the Friend Center of Princeton University on March 21-23, 2012, the conference is organized into 35 sessions, including 18 invited sessions, with over 200 regular and invited papers.

in organizing invited sessions on topics of special interest to our community.

Special thanks are due to:

Kenneth Church (IBM), Amos Lapidoth (ETH) and Christopher Sims (Princeton) for sharing their insights in their plenary talks.

It would not be possible to maintain the quality of the Conference on Information Sciences and Systems without the team effort of our colleagues Mung Chiang, Sanjeev Kulkarni, Bede Liu, Vincent Poor and Peter Ramadge. Their generous assistance in reviewing the submitted papers is greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to our support staff and in particular Dana Hutchins and Beth Jarvie.

CISS alternates its venue between Princeton University and The Johns Hopkins University. The 47th CISS will be hosted by The Johns Hopkins University in 2013.
